About Us

Welcome to Cubs Notebook.  My name is Lou Mindar and I’m a lifelong Cubs fan.  It started in 1969 when I was just a kid.  I grew up in a White Sox neighborhood outside of Chicago, but thanks to my Dad and WGN, I became a Cubs fan.

I’ve lived through the collapse of 1969, the drought of the 1970’s, the heartbreak of 1984 (although the “Ryno game” was great), the exhilaration of the 1998 home run chase, the “Bartman game” during the 2003 playoffs, the disappointment of 2004, and the playoff appearances of 2007 and 2008.  Through it all, the good and the bad, I’ve remained a loyal Cubs fan.

I’ll be using this site to chronicle my thoughts about the Cubs as they battle to break the 100 year curse (I don’t really believe in curses) and win the World Series.  I’ll also be using this site to highlight some of the great Cubs gear that is available on the market.

Be sure to comment on my posts.  If you want to talk about something other than a post, use the contact form available here.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all of the great Cubs gear we have available.  To check it out, just click here.  And check back often.
